Frodeno, Ryf make it a Felt sweep at Seoul ITU!
Korea – Felt triathletes Jan Frodeno and Daniela Ryf swept round 2 of the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series in Seoul, Korea, on Saturday, May 8.

Frodeno, the gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, outsprinted Australian Courtney Atkinson in the final 30 meters to score his biggest win yet this season.

“Courtney went out really hard on the run and it was tough to catch up to him out of the transition,” said Frodeno. The German put in a strong ride on his Felt F1 SL and then chased Atkinson in the run, catching him 2km into it. The two built up a solid lead and held their gap until the closing meters. That’s when Frodeno made his move.

In the women’s race, Ryf (pictured above) was part of a lead pack of 30 that came together on the bike leg. After several surges by Australian Emma Moffatt, Barbar Riveros Diaz of Chile and Andrea Hewitt of New Zealand on the run, Ryf came from behind, then put in an amazing sprint to emerge the winner.

“I was really suffering toward the end,” said the Swiss athlete, who competed on her Felt AR. “I’m so surprised I was able to pull it out. I just tried to focus on my technique to keep it together at the end.”
Also riding for Felt in the women's race was Australian Emma Snowsill, who finished sixth.
