Wiggins 2nd in Giro Finale!
Italy - Bradley Wiggins (GBR), who has impressed the world as he transitioned from track specialist to Pro Tour road rider, took 2nd in the final stage of the 92nd Giro d'Italia, a 15.5K individual time trial through the streets of Rome.  Finishing just 1 second from the winning time, Wiggo had to deal with heavy rain during the second half of his run which surely slowed him down as he had to carefully navigate the tricky corners and cobbles over this flat, but winding course.  Oh, what might have been...

Congratulations to the Garmin team for an outstanding Giro and even in the face of losing their team leader, Christian Vande Velde, still put out a most impressive performance!
