Felt Ötztal X-Bionic

The Felt Ötztal X-Bionic World Cup mountain bike team is a European-based international team focused on the world’s most important off-road events. The team, which competes mainly in cross-country, includes experienced veterans with Olympic experience as well as up-and-coming stars representing the future of the sport.

Sabrina Enaux (Fra), Adelheid Morath (Ger), Blaza Klemencic (Slo), Carolin Schiff (Ger) and Anna Baylis-Scheiderbauer (Ger) form the strong international women's team. Simon Scheiber (Aut), Manfred Reis (Ger), Karl Markt (Aut), Vladi Riha (Cze), Paul van der Ploeg (Aus) and Jörg Scheiderbauer (Ger) are the male athletes.
While the majority of the team members compete in Olympic Cross Country, a few also focus on the mountain bike marathon events.

At ages 19, 20 and 21 respectively, Reis, Van der Ploeg and Scheiber are all Under-23 National Champions in their home nations. Each has shown the potential to become World Champion calibre in the near future.

On the women’s side, Morath and Klemencic bring Olympic experience to the team. Both are one focused goal: an Olympic medal at the 2010 London Games. In addition, both want to defend their national titles.

Enaux and Markt  also bring a wealth of experience to the team. Both have achieved top rankings in the World cup and are aiming to qualify for the Olympic Games in London 2012.

Vladi Riha and Carolin Schiff originally come from road racing, but have turned their attention to mountain bike marathon.

All of the Felt Ötztal X-Bionic riders train and race on Felt’s Six Series carbon-fiber hardtail XC bikes. Keep your eye on the 2010 World Cup Series and you’re sure to see these top athletes flying the Felt colors.
