Just missed the podium
At Uralan spring marathon in Münsingen Anna and Jörg Scheiderbauer missed the podium curtly. While Jörg finished eleven seconds after rank three, his wife Anna was only six seconds slower than the third placed Katrin Schwing. In the womens competition the favorite Pia Sundstedt won ahead of Birgit Söllner. In the mens competition Markus Kaufmann won after an exciting finish followed by Volker Ordowski and Christian Schneidawind.
Riha and Schiff in the Top 5
The Kellerwald Bikemarathon in the Hessian Gilserberg with its 120 km length and 3100 meters altitude difference belongs to the classics of the scene. Vladi Riha and Carolin Schiff from FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team belonged to the nearly 900 starters. Riha, who suffered from strong back problems, had to leave a four-man leading group. After he was able to free himself from the chasing group, Riha had to ride alone the last 70 km. With his fifth place in the overall results Riha was very satisfied. Rihas partner Carolin Schiff crossed the finish line as second after 120 km. Only the French top rider Danièle Troesch was stronger than Schiff. "Although it was a very tough race today, I am satisfied with myself and look forward to the next race," said Schiff, whose next race will be in Riva at Lake Garda on 1st May. In Riva both Jörg and Anna Scheiderbauer and Vladi Riha will take part too.
