Carolin Schiff and Vladi Riha join the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team
Carolin Schiff and Vladi Riha the next two athletes have signed at the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team. While the previous athletes set their focus on the olympic cross country, Riha and Schiff especially prefer mountain bike marathon. Together they live in Bremen, where each one of them trains about 20.000 kilometers per year. The 36-year-old Riha grew up in the Czech city Chomotov, but he lives in Germany since he was eight years old. His partner Schiff was born in Hannover 24 years ago. If the qualified nurse does not sit on her bike, she concentrates on her studies. Riha, who started cycling in 2002, makes money as professional cyclist. Both started their cycling career as road bikers before they turned to mountain biking. Schiff has also already tried swimming, running and triathlon. Riha is looking forward to the new challenge: "I hope I can integrate as quickly as possible in the team and take an even better season than last year. My ultimate goal is the European Marathon Championship, and I also hope to win one or two marathons in 2010." Schiff also aims high for 2010: "In the new team I hope to advance fast, especially concerning my technique in mountain biking." After the latest commitments eight athletes belong to the FELT ÖTZTAL X-BIONIC Worldcup Team at the moment: Simon Scheiber, Karl Markt, Manne Reis, Vladi Riha, Sabrina Enaux, Adelheid Morath, Blaza Klemencic and Carolin Schiff.
