Garmin Riders Score Two National Titles

Canadian Svein Tuft (pictured) and Brazilian Murilo Fischer led the Garmin-Transitions team efforts at various National Championships around the world last weekend.

Both Tuft and Fischer took home their respective national titles, while in Europe Martijn Maaskant finished sixth in the Dutch National Road Race Championship and Johan Van Summeren was eighth in the Belgian National Road Race Championship.

Tuft continued his TT dominance in Canada, riding the all-new Felt DA time trial bike to his sixth National Title. Tuft crushed the competition on the 40km course near Edmonton, beating the second-place finisher by nearly two minutes.

Fischer, in his first year riding with the Garmin-Transitions team, earned another National Champion’s jersey for the team with his road race win in Brazil.

Next up for the Garmin-Transitions team is the Tour de France, which starts in Amsterdam on Saturday, July 3.
