Design Engineer

 
Felt is looking for a Design Engineer to join our growing team.  The position is full-time and is based out of our Irvine, CA office.  Primary responsibilities include working with the engineering team towards the continued and ongoing advancement of Felt as a bicycle design leader.  This position will have an emphasis on composite frame and component development.  Engineering works directly in supporting all areas of the company including but not limited to product development, sales, marketing and more.  Skills necessary in order to be successful at this position include:
  1. Must have at least 5 years working experience in 3-D computer design programs.
  2. Must be familiar with all stages of the design process – concept through manufacturing.  Pro-E surfacing a big plus.
  3. Must have intuitive working knowledge of and at least 3 years experience in the cycling industry.
  4. Must be a clear communicator and willing to work in a team environment.
  5. Must have strong organizational and logistical skill.
  6. Must have a do-what-it-takes approach and attitude.
  7. Some travel required.

Dealer Support Manager
 
Felt is looking for a person who fully understands the core value created by superior dealer support and customer service. The position is full-time and is based out of our Ontario, CA Distibution Center. As a manager of the Felt Bicycles Dealer Support team, you will manage the Dealer Support department and oversee daily interaction between Dealer Support and bicycle shop owners, employees and customers. You will also work and interact with other departments within Felt Bicycles to help identify and resolve any potential issues relating to dealer support and customer service.  This position reports to our Logistics/Dealer Support Operations Manager.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Direct the work flow of the Dealer Support department
  2. Oversee the entry of orders, shipments and returns
  3. Ensure the Dealer Support department is trained in all aspects of customer service
  4. Provide performance evaluations and suggest improvements
  5. Maintain an intimate knowledge of dealer and customer needs
  6. Use Felt’s ERP system to analyze dealer and customer issues
  7. Ensure highest possible quality of dealer and customer interaction
  8. Communicate with and build long-term relationships with the dealers and customers
  9. Communicate with and build long-term relationships with all inside and outside sales reps
  10. Communicate with and build long-term relationships with all departments within Felt
  11. Suggest improvements to the various processes and procedures within Felt
  12. Manage dealer support inventory
  13. Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports
  14. Help dealers and consumers understand they are riding the best bicycles in the world. Period.
 
Qualifications:
  1. 3 or more years of bicycle industry experience
  2. 3 or more years of direct front line employee supervision
  3. Strong leadership skills
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  5. Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  6. Strong mechanical aptitude
  7. Strong communication skills
  8. Ability to remain calm and level headed even when handling difficult situations
  9. Understanding of bicycle frame materials, construction and finishes
  10. 4 year college degree in or 2 additional years of bicycle industry experience
